Welcome to The Film Place The Film Place is Buckingham’s own local cinema, it is located in the luxurious new theatre in the University’s Vinson Building in Hunter Street. We offer for sale a range of confectionery, ice cream, soft drinks (occasionally wine!). Free car parking is in the Island Car Park – a short walk from the theatre.
Tune in . . . Tune in to local radio station 3B’s on the first Saturday of the month, at around 11.00 am, for the ‘Robert Steel – The Show with no Name’ to hear about our upcoming films.

Disabled Access Access to the Vinson Building is via the main doors (there are two entrances) and there is level access to the theatre where four wheelchair spaces are available. Additionally there is level access to toilets outside of the theatre. People with restricted mobility are asked to sit in the front rows in order to be able to leave in an emergency. Please speak to one of our volunteers if you need assistance. If you require a companion to facilitate your visit, you may claim one free ticket for that person.
PLEASE NOTE: During the current building works, on film nights, only one disabled parking space for blue badge holders is available in the layby outside the front entrance of the Vinson Building.
Deaf or Hard of Hearing Our website and printed programmes provide details of captioned / subtitled performances. A hearing loop is available. Visual fire alarms are installed in public areas and toilets.
